PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE
Vuleka fundraiser:
Roger Lee ran his popular course on digital photography to benefit Vuleka on Saturday 26th November. The amount raised was R10 000. FOUNDERS DAY AND FUN DAY 2011
We had a very busy day on Saturday 29th October. First a lovely service led by the Ven Steve Moreo, a Vuleka grandparent, during which we gave thanks to God for our school and all who have contributed to our growth and success over the years. Then we had our Fun Day, enjoyed by children and parents alike.
RANDBURG SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOL
Randburg Methodist Church have kindly agreed to let us use another room on their property, so that we can open a third class at this venue. We will now have Junior, Intermediate and Senior classes at this venue, which will enable us to help more children with special educational needs.
SPORTS DAYS 2011
What a wonderful day we had on Saturday 23rd July! A big thank you to all those who contributed to the success of the day - staff, PTA, parents and children. The combined team of St Martin's, Jellicoe and Randburg was the overall winner of Sports Day 2011. The Spirit Cup, which goes to the venue with the best behaviour and most spirit on the day, went to North Riding. Our congratulations to the following:

The Early Learning Centres and Grade 0 Sports Day on 16th July was a huge success!
MRS SHARLAND
Mrs Melanie Sharland has been asked by the Archbishop of Cape Town, the Most Revd Thabo Makgoba, to attend Consultation 2011, a conference on Church Schools in the Future. The conference takes place in England in July. It is a great honour and privilege for Melanie and Vuleka for her to be chosen out of all the Heads of Anglican schools in Southern Africa - Vuleka is very proud!
CONQUESTA RESULTS 2010
The Vuleka Grade 5 classes came 9th out of 1350 schools in the Conquesta Natural Science exam! Congratulations to our star pupils and their hard-working teachers. We are very proud of you all.
OPENING AND BLESSING OF THE NEW SCHOOL
The new building was officially opened by Mrs Susan Germond and Mrs Joy Chilvers, founders of Vuleka School 21 years ago, and then Bishop Brian Germond blessed the building. What a wonderful celebration!
ST MICHAEL'S IS FINISHED!
We are so excited about our beautiful new building at St Michael's, Weltevreden Park. The classes there will be moving in soon after the beginning of October.
