In Memoriam

Vuleka School

Vuleka School is sad to announce the death of Mr Neville King, Grade 5 teacher at St Michael's Weltevreden Park, on Christmas Day 2011.

We extend our deepest sympathy to all Neville's family, and especially to his wife Rachel and their small son Gabriel.  Neville joined Vuleka in September 2011, but in a few short months had made a very positive impression on us all.  He was a gentle and caring man who will be greatly missed.

Vuleka School is sad to announce the death of Mr Jabu Khumalo, school handyman, on the 7th November 2011.

Mr Khumalo was widowed in June 2008, and leaves grown children from his first marriage, as well as Sanele (Grade 8) and Mzwandile (Grade 3), to whom we extend our deepest sympathy.

Mr Khumalo worked for Vuleka as well as St Martin's church and was an amazing handyman, able to turn his hand to any job he was asked to do.  He will be missed.

Vuleka School is sad to announce the death of Mr James Mpofu, Grade 7 teacher at 19 Jellicoe Avenue, on the 16th February 2011.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Mrs Nqobile Mpofu and their daughters Charmaine and Chantelle.

Mr Mpofu joined Vuleka in May 2007 and was a wonderful role model for the boys of our senior classes at Jellicoe.  His experience of athletics in Zimbabwe made him the ideal choice to help run our annual Sports Days.
