How can I help?

Vuleka School

Vuleka needs your help in many different areas:

  • First and foremost:  pray for us - for God's guidance, for His protection over our children, our taxi drivers, our staff and all families, for the finances we need to do our workSpeak to:  God

  • You can also help by volunteering an hour or two of your time once a week:  to listen to reading, help with an art lesson, take a class for singing - the possibilities are endless!  Speak to: Jane 011 447-2093

  • Vuleka has a gift card scheme:  many people have enough "stuff" and ask friends to give a donation to Vuleka instead of buying them a birthday present.  The school sends a card in the donor's name to the person concerned.  You could also nominate Vuleka as a beneficiary in lieu of flowers after the death of a loved one, or instead of sending flowers or yet another teddy bear to a new mother.  Speak to: Janet 011 447-2093

  • Get a MySchool card and nominate Vuleka as the beneficiary. Every swipe counts!  For more information, and to apply online see here.

  • Consider becoming one of our Support-A-Child donors:  in 2010 the gap between school fees and the cost of educating one child will be R2580 for the year or R215 per month.  All donors are given a tax certificate.  For more information see here.

  • Help us with our building project at St Michael's:  we need to raise R4.2 million for our new classroom block, and a further R250 000 to equip the classrooms and computer centre.  For more information see here or speak to: Janet 011 447-2093

  • Mention Vuleka in your will:  you can't take it with you, but you can ensure that your money will be used for good, and to help our country's most precious resource - our children.  Speak to: Janet 011 447-2093

  • In these days of rising petrol and food costs, some parents are struggling to make ends meet.  Consider donating a food parcel to be distributed to those who need it most.  Speak to: Jane 011 447-2093
